Thalys and Accor have joined forces to make traveling in Europe simpler and easier by allowing passengers to book a train ticket and a hotel room simultaneously in the four countries served by the Thalys network: Belgium, France, the Netherlands, and Germany.

Thalys passengers who book a hotel room and a train ticket at the same time enjoy exclusive offers all year long at participating Accor hotels. These include a 10% discount on the day's lowest rate* on weekends at Pullman, Novotel, Mercure and Suitehotel, and 5% at Sofitel and Hotels Barrière.

On weekdays, passengers get the best market rate** at F1 Hotels, Etap Hotel, Ibis, All Seasons, Suitehotel, Mercure, Novotel, Pullman, Sofitel and Hotels Barrière**.

In addition to the weekend discounts, Cybelys cardholders, and the person sharing their room, get breakfast free. Accor also participates in one-off promotions, with special offers for Thalys passengers, Cybelys loyalty cardholders, etc.

In 2003, Orange and Accor joined forces to provide high-speed Internet access in more than 1,300 hotels across France operating under the different Accor brands.

Thanks to Orange WiFi access, customers in Accor hotels in France have high-speed Internet access at their disposal in lobbies, bars, meeting rooms and certain guestrooms. Users of WiFi-equipped laptops can easily and securely check their e-mail, log on to the Internet, or connect to their company's Intranet. Since October 2007, a further 220 hotels have extended their network coverage and are now totally WiFi-enabled, offering Internet access in all guestrooms and public areas. In addition, the partnership has expanded to include 50 hotels in Belgium and 80 in the United Kingdom. Accor services direct from your mobile phone As part of its partnership with Orange, Accor offers its services to Orange mobile phone subscribers in France. You can now book a room at any Accor hotel in the world simply by dialing 711 (travel section) from France.

Web Corner on a Mac

To meet this need Novotel is introducing innovative Internet areas in its hotels: the "Web Corner on a Mac"

The new hotel space will feature Apple iMacs, in recyclable aluminium and glass. A user interface personalized for Novotel has been specially conceived to make navigation fast and simple. Users will have free access, in 20-minute sessions, to all desktop functions. They can quickly log on to check their e-mail, chat, surf the Web, visit Google Earth, make reservations or search for the best deals and things to do in the city where they're staying.
